Kurt Feight, CIC President 989-772-2977

Kurt was born and raised in Mt. Pleasant and has been working at Mt. Pleasant Agency – Central Insurance since he was 16 years old. His father, Keith Feight, founded the agency in 1959. Kurt is a proud Chippewa having earned a degree in Business from Central Michigan University in 1982. He also is a Certified Insurance Counselor and has been for over 30 years. His favorite part about his career is building relationships with his clients, understanding what their needs are, and protecting them when the unexpected happens.

Kurt is very involved with the community supporting many different causes and organizations including Mt. Pleasant Community Church, Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation (Feight Family Business Scholarship Fund and the Feight Community Improvement Fund), Paint the High Street Bridge Project, CMU’s Sigma Chi Fraternity, Rotary, Lions Club, Jaycees, Home Builders Association, Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce, United Way, Michigan Association of Insurance Agents, and Central Michigan Board of Realtors.

Over the years, he has served on many boards and advisory councils including the Michigan Association of Insurance Agents, Frankenmuth Mutual Advisory Board, Rotary Club, and Home Builders Association of Central Michigan.

Kurt has been married to his wife, Julie, for over 35 years. His daughter, Kelly Hudson, works for Mt. Pleasant Agency – Central Insurance forming the third generation of family involvement in the insurance business. Outside of work, Kurt enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, traveling, and golfing. And you can expect a little competition on the greens; Kurt has gotten a hole-in-one twice in his life. When he got the first one in 1990, he won the use of a new car for a year!
